…teeth big and sore after having a root filling, Dunc turns into a maniac. Actually it wasn’t that bad at all; oh the wonders of modern dentistry. That has lost me almost a day this week though and I’m behind in both the 9-5 and the ol’ music work.

Went to London for the weekend to celebrate the lovely Rachel’s birthday. So lovely is she that I don’t actually know if her name has another ‘a’ or not. We’ll go with the one I typed originally as that takes less effort. Although I’ve just typed an extra 30 odd characters explaining that. Nevrmind.

London is brilliant when:

  • You don’t live there.
  • You have friends there.
  • You have disposable income.
  • You have the sun shining.

I enjoyed doing a few touristy things which don’t usually happen in the adult world like taking a boat trip on the Thames. I now know all there is to know about Black Friar bridge and the like.

Off to Kris’ tonight to catch up before we have a week off what with one thing and another. Kris if you read this have Cat save me some pudding for when I get round. Cat, for those of you who haven’t met her, makes the bestest muffins, biscuits, cakes and any other baked good you care to mention.

I’ll say goodbye before I take my week off, but for now,

Chin chin,

…light. The sun is shining! Isn’t the world a happier place when that big yellow thing in the sky puts his hat on?

  • moos manors is having a few bits and bobs tidied up at the mo and then she’s going on the market – exciting times.
  • I’ve started a strange sounding new song that is making me smile.
  • I’ve got a new jacket; which is making me smile.
  • I’m going partying this weekend; which is making me smile.
  • Era Vulgaris by The Queens of The Stone Age is making me smile.

Kris is ’round tonight and we’ll either get loads done or we’ll have another looser evening and achieve not a lot. I’ll still be smiling though.

Chin chin,

…and from a tiny little acorn a mighty oak is almost born, only a pesky little squirrel decided that it was going to let it’s own insignificant hunger pains interfere with the blossoming of a beautiful tree.

Those are the strange thoughs one gets whilst running through Pitville Park. Because I’m so hilarious I called it the squirrel effect, which is a play on the butterfly effect; aren’t I great???

We didn’t get Song C’s vocals recorded by Etta on the weekend.

We didn’t get the chorus for song D written.

What a pair of losers we are. Although the attempts at writing said chorus did throw up a few more verse riffs that will get pilfered for something else at some point.

The fruition being that a little seed has been planted in someones back garden that may lead to something nice. That’s enough about that one, I don’t want to jinx it. (It’s Friday 13th this week!)

Chin chin,

…the sun is shining and I’m feeling gay. Don’t get your hopes up all you boys out there that swing the other way, I mean gay as in the old English sense; all jolly and that.

Tonight I will be upping my rock n’ roll status with a bit of hardcore cleaning of moos manors.

Tomorrow the K-Bomb is round to sort the chorus of Song D and finish writing the lyrics; it’s a funky number with some deliciously jazzy hi-hats and a bit of a killer bass line.

On Sunday I should be recording the delightful Etta’s version of our Song C, which will hopefully have it up to submission standard once the mix is sorted.

Have a top weekend kids.
